Travis Kingler is a makeup artist based in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. A Pittsburgh native with over ten years of experience as a hair stylist, Travis left the salon business to pursue a career in makeup artistry. After several successful years working in the Pittsburgh area, Travis relocated to Minneapolis in 2012.
Travis is an accomplished and creative makeup artist with experience in all aspects of makeup. Be it bridal makeup for a wedding or creating burns and scars for special effects, he prides himself on being diverse.
In the summer of 2012, Travis work with MTV on promotions for the MTV Video Music Awards. He has also recently worked with Microscopic Opera Company for their productions of Lizbeth (2012) and Riders To The Sea (2012), Fantastic Mr. Fox (2011), Bon Appetit! (2011), Happy Garden of Life (2010) and Monkey’s Paw (2010). Travis worked with Pittsburgh Opera as hair and makeup assistant from 2008 to 2010 and also created the makeup and wig styles for the company's 2010 production of The Rape of Lucretia; as well as the Opera’s 2010-2011 advertising campaign. Travis is also a makeup artist for MAC cosmetics at Nordstrom-Mall of America.
Travis’ editorial credits include fashion spreads in Frontrow Monthly, photo shoots with Jamie Lee Curtis for Whirl Magazine, a beauty feature for Metropolitan Magazine and an online holiday campaign for ModCloth. He has worked on several locally filmed movies. Travis also had the pleasure to work on Kristin Chenoweth.
Travis enjoys teaching his clients to utilize makeup to bring out their best features.
He is a licensed cosmetologist and graduate of Joe Blasco Makeup School in Orlando Florida.
